Being a Licenced Driver

I've been waiting for this day to come: being a licenced driver. woho!
Went early for a test warm up in the circuit and on the road with driving instructor william... was quite alright, the feeling of nervousness didnt sink in yet.
after 1.5 hrs of intensive training, went over to the exam preparation room. In there, it was total silence. I could feel how fast the other candidates's hearts were beating, not to mention mine as well. My whole palm was dripping with sweat and I could feel my sweat on my feat soaking thru my socks.
We drew lots to find out which route we were going to take. I got route 1, which didnt seem really difficult other than driving on the super crowded ubi road which requires some skill to change lane.
Alright, after all the paperwork was settled, I was surprised to be 1 of the 1st few to get called up to start the test. Just then, I met my BMT friend Fadzli, unfortunately, cant stay for a chat or else I'll get demerit points for other distractions than the test itself.
Went into the car, realised the car boot wasnt closed properly, if not, I could have failed if I drove off not noticing it. Went into the driving circuit, most of the componenets were done alright, except when I was doing perpendicular parking, this idoit learner driver drove past my front and I had 4 demerit points for not ensuring safety. Well, you knew I was reversing, you should have gave way to me right?
Surprisingly, he didnt give me an emergency brake test.. kool!
Then we came closed to a Zebra crossing, he asked me to turn right at the exit. So I changed lanes cos I thought it would be too late to change lanes after the zebra crossing since there was a bend and changing lanes at a bend constitues to an immediate failure. So.. i had 4 demerit points.
On the road, I caused other vehicles to slow down simply because I couldnt drive faster than 50 and you silly drivers on the road were driving faster than 50, obviously you have to slow down, so because of this, it caused me 8 points.
Other than that, things were great, weather was good, traffic conditions were average, so things turned out well overall. Got back to the test centre, parked the car and followed the tester to his room. He explained the areas I had gone wrong but I wasnt really listening, all I wanted was to know whether I passed or failed. Then, he said be careful ok? Borderline ah! I'm like, who cares mann, as long I pass, all that matters.
Alright, so happy me walked and registered for my licence. While waiting, we watched a safety video but I doubt anyone was listening because those that watched had passed, and definetly the excitement has overwhelmed the video.
What a day, but nevertheless, being a licenced driver feels great.
I would like to thank first of all, God for watching me throughout these periods when I was learning and for providing me with all his love and guidiance during the exam.
Would also like to thank instructor William for helping me throughout these intensive 7 months of training. Though you have earned alot of $$ from me, I still appreciate it.
Would also like to thank especially Cam, Ken, Peter Paterson and Mike in Sydney for allowing me to use their cars in Sydney to practice and also for their time that they had put aside for me.
Thank you to all my collegues and friends who have shown their support and encouragement to me. Without these, I probably wouldnt have made it.
Thank you and take care. God bless!
